This website was built to provide the coin collector with information on the Liberty Head Nickel series. This was the second design for the new five cent denomination that followed the short lived Shield Nickel series. The Liberty Nickel series includes some interesting history such as the "racketeer nickels" and the famous 1913 Liberty Nickel.

On this site you will find a basic history of the series, example images, and some highlights and rarities of the series. Also basic information on mintages and specifications for the coins.
