This website was built to provide the coin collector with information on the Liberty Nickel. This represented the second design for the new nickel five cent denomination that followed the short lived Shield Nickel series.

The Liberty Head Nickels includes some interesting historical aspects such as the "racketeer nickels" and the famous 1913 Liberty Nickel.

On this site you will find a basic history of the series, coin images, and some highlights and rarities. Also basic information on mintages and specifications for the coins is presented. Some images for the site are courtesy of www.coinpage.com.
